Patients on Premium Assistance can claim part of their treatment fee through the Medical Services Plan (MSP). $23 of the treatment fee can be claimed for up to 10 visits per calendar year, and the remaining balance for the treatment is the responsibility of the patient. Please see Government of British Columbia Website to see if you qualify.
Private/Extended Health Care Insurance
Many of our practitioners can direct bill your Extended Health Care Insurance if you wish. Patients may have extended health care benefits through their employer for Registered Massage Therapy treatments. Please see your RMT for details.
Coverage will vary depending on patient plans, please contact your Extended Health Care Insurance group administrator for more information. For any remaining balance not covered by your Extended Health Care Insurance plan, the balance is due at time of your appointment. Your RMT reserves the right not to accept Extended Health Insurance plan should your claim not be “approved” or is “pending approval” at the time of the appointment.
Companies that are included in Extended Health Insurance billing are:
Pacific Blue Cross
Medavie Blue Cross (RCMP & DVA)
Sun Life Financial
Chamber of Commerce Group Insurance
Johnston Group Inc.
If you are in an accident; massage therapy may be a treatment option for you. Please discuss with your doctor and your ICBC adjuster prior to making an appointment with us. At this time, we do not direct bill to ICBC. For those patients who qualify, you can submit your receipt for treatment to ICBC for reimbursement. Please contact your adjuster for more details.
We are able to bill the full cost for treatment directly to the DVA for veterans. Please notify reception upon booking your first treatment if you are a veteran.
RCMP members are covered for massage therapy at no out of pocket expense to the member. You will be required to fill out a form at your initial visit. Please notify reception upon booking your first treatment if you are a member.
Colds & Flus
Please consider the well-being of others before coming in for your appointment with signs of a cold or flus. It is best to stay home, drink fluids, rest and recover. If you are unsure, please phone the office and discuss with your RMT.
We kindly ask you call our clinic promptly if you are unable to attend your
appointment, we request that you give us 48 hour business day notice. Available
appointments are in high demand and your early cancellation notice will give
another patient the opportunity to make use of your allotted time.
No Show Policy / Missed Appointment
A no-show / missed appointment is someone who misses an appointment
without 48 hour business day notice. We have voice mail which is able to take
messages at any time. No shows or missed appointments inconvenience
patients who are in need of our services.
At Quantum Massage Therapy our goal is to provide quality care in a timely
manner. Please note that no shows, missed appointments and cancellations less
than 48 hour business days are charged full rates. We respect our time as well
as our patient’s time. We have implemented these policies in order to make it
efficient for all involved.
